      I think I read somewhere there were only seven or eight stations originally? ...And folk thought they may choke on the fumes - but actually didn't!!

      A difficult scene to photograph, and a wonderful occasion. I would have loved to be there.

      Roger - it isn't a deep single tube line, this line has openings and wide tunnels so there is room for the smoke to escape.
